Wu Yibing cruised to a straight-sets victory, defeating world No. 181 American Tristan Boyer 6–3, 6–2. The contest lasted just 1 hour and 13 minutes. With three consecutive wins, Wu successfully secured a place in the main draw, returning to the Australian Open men’s singles main draw for the first time in three years. It also marks the sixth Grand Slam main-draw appearance of his professional career.
